I have just picked up a Brownie Trans. to install in an early 1947 GMC EC 302. Does anyone here have any set-up procedure that would help me along on this install? This trans. is suitable for a 1.5 ton truck and I do have the complete shifter assembly with it. Is it better to mount as close as possible to the back of the main trans.? Should the Brownie be mounted in line with the main trans or lower? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
