Had 58 Impala 348 X 3 carbs when in the military and shortly afterward. Rebuilt the engine in 67 and it ran great for the time. It wasn't the fastest thing around but it was no slouch. Had just outran a 348 with 2 4's when I wrinkled it up REAL bad, and me too, going to another spot for more drag racing. (The next victim would have been a 66 Chevelle.
Couldn't see the speedo hand when I got behind on my steering out on a lonely dark country road....got some pics somewhere around here, and still carrying the scars too!!
