I'm thinking your gauge is one that has the capillary tube with the "bulb" on the end that goes into the engine head. If I'm correct then the little copper tube has a leak in it and the gas inside is gone. Some shops can put the gas back in but it can get expensive. I buy a new one cheaper than I can get the ether put back in one.....and yes, my china gauge is still holding up after 3 or 4 years.
