I don't know anybody who blasts carbs. For me, there are too many small passage ways and orifices to get clogged. You can't blast clean the passage ways because they have +/- 90 deg angles sometimes. I soak'em. If I ever did one I would think soda would be washoutable. I am guessing that anything mildly aggressive would change the sizes of important diameters.
