My thought was to remove the cab and sandblast and paint all the rusty metal before replacing the floorboard, also to be able to get to the frame, which I want to do first. Bad idea?

Another reason is that the engine is in the way to be able to butt weld the firewall (unless I decide to get the whole firewall panel.)

That's one of the reasons I am here. To get help with my truck.:)
