I didn't realize posting on here made my question thread keep bumping up the engine list--
Sorry about that Stovebolt! Not my intention, but thank you all for
ALL the tips- I listen & we will be having "exploratory surgery" now, and not budging the engine until I find out what made that noise...
If Sedgewick happens to read this, I finally found an almost identical scenario to mine in a
stovebolt thread and would love to know the advice he was giving his neighbor that fell "on deaf ears," but I'm sure it is very close to everything y'all posted here.
