I am liking the "side" open option..door has to open first. Any thing that might attack my ankles when driving is not a comforting idea. Just my 2 cents worth. Simple key lock like a roll around cabinet would work. Would be a good place to keep a spare fan belt, screw driver, filter....yes I like it.
