That's something I haven't experienced with the Varajet, yet (fingers crossed). I have one on a 2.8 V6 in my Blazer, the only major problems I've had with it mechanically are the electric choke that looses it's spring tension, and a float that went sour. Didn't know about the secondary metering needle issue, thanks for bringing it up, might save me an engine in the future.
