I have a 12" direct drive Craftsman that I bought about 35 years ago. I did a lot with it back in the 80's, but now just it occasionally to rip apitong flooring. If I were to buy today, I would probably buy a Jet. But I looked at those things. They are close to $4,000. A few years ago I downloaded a parts book for the Craftsman. But with the financial difficulties that Sears is having these days, I doubt that parts are available any more.
