Old powermatic and Delta, Delta/rockwell are the time honored favorites of general woodworking. Take a look at General, made in Canada. I haven't studied them in great depth, but the ones I have seen look solid and accurate. Fine woodworking and fine home building magazines conduct reviews and ratings.
E-bay has a lot of saws, and looks to me like you can find a 3-phase in the 6-800 dollar range. Need restoration of course. The story is you can get a phase converter, but those are just about as expensive as the saw.
I am not convinced that everyone is going to stone tables. Don't know why they would, not buying the vibration thing.
Sawstop is also another brand to look at. You supossedly can't cut off your fingers with it. They have hot dog demonstrations to prove it.
I read an article that said the table saw is a thing of the paast, and everyone should get a CNC machine. The author and I had a talk on the phone after I fired him up. I don't think he could think out of the production shop area.
