The 216 equipped models went under the name Thriftmaster. More details on the engine and trucks is here: http://www.stovebolt.com/features/feature_stories/bigtrucks/index.htm | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | | | | | | Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 17 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 17 | I noticed that in the big bolt review they mentioned that the 6000 series had a drive shaft emergency brake. My new 6400 has cables that go to the rear brakes. Is that typical?
thanks.

thanks for all your help….If i want to change all fluids, what do you recommend? weight etc. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 | I have parted a couple 2-tons that had the cable actuated brakes so they could be configured that way. On the fluids you can just follow the manual recommendations these trucks do not need synthetics or anything to fancy. Owners manuals are available for your truck from a variety of the vendors for a reasonable price if you do not have one. | | |
