Back in June, I picked up a 1949 Chevy 3100 that was literally 4 houses down and across the street from me. For about 5 years I've been driving past and drooling over this view Rear hoping I could some day buy it and work on it with my son Levi. That day finally came and I hauled Herb back home (all 120 yards) with the help of my buddy and a tow strap. Towed There was so much accumulated dirt, I was barely able to see through a few paw prints Dirrr-teee to steer the thing home.. Herb had been sitting around for about 8 years collecting dust under a carport after having the frame stripped and painted, and the owner just never got around to finishing the job. frame I've started cleaning up Herb and have been reading the heck out of this forum to get ideas of where to start and what can be done. Getting started There is a ton of great info here, and i hope to share more progress as I dig deeper into getting Herb roadworthy. | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,185 Moderator | Moderator Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,185 | Welcome Sulli, now the fun begins. As you mentioned, there is a ton of great info here, just be sure to ask if you need help. There is a 'Texas connection' here, a forum for all Texans, be sure to check it out. Check out the other forums as well, ask wherever it's most appropriate and you will get results. Hope Levi will learn alongside you. Good luck.

I'm in the planning phase learning as much as I can first, and trying to squirrel away some cash to get started.
Glad to know there are fellow bolters near Houston, and I'm sure I'll be bugging you guys soon enough.
