Has anyone seen one? Are they like a little cycle fender? How do they attach? do the '62 on subs have them? How about any later subs? does anyone make a repop? I am interested in any info.

Best wishes,

Les

I see no examples in the Stovebolt.com gallery.

Can you post a link to a photo?

@ tclederman, Look at John's picture, that's it!

@ HRJ, Thanks, John, that's it. I've never seen one in a fleetside, though. What a cool mod for a pickup. It is looking more and more like I'll have to build what I want anyway. I think the easy way to go would probably be to start with a trailer fender that fits the biggest tire you might need.

Thanks for the input!

Was there a spare tire well on/in the Suburban, too?

tclederman, because the suburbans used the rear mount gas tank about the only place for a spare was in the truck.
See post #110 on this thread for a photo of a '72 spare tire well

Always glad to help Roadmarks. I built some mini-tubs for my step side using a trailer fender from the local farm supply store and some stock angle strips from Mar-k to flange the trailer fender. Here's a photo, might be food for thought on your project. Building Mini-Tub ~ Completed Mini-Tubs

Thanks from me, too, John! If either of you folks see a '67 - '72 sub being scrapped, you know what I want!
