Currently I have a piece of plywood that has been upholstered. Recently, I came across a decent seat back frame and springs. At the top there are two hooks which fit nicely into slots in the cab sheet metal below the rear window.
At the bottom of the seat there are two extensions or tabs that stick down. When the seat back is hung in the slots, these tabs don't engage with anything. They are too short to reach the seat bottom base.
Am I missing some sheet metal or does the seat back just hang from the top hooks?

Thanks, you are correct. I found the tabs on my seat bottom, which were hidden by excess naugahide, as well. Of course, it makes sense to me now, in that when you slide the bottom closer to the front, the seat back will stay attached and swing a little forward also.
