Anybody going to turkey rod run in daytona. Will there be a gathering of truck owners somewhere?

We had a Gab Fest at the Spring Turkey Rod Run. I'll most likely go to the Fall Rod Run also.

If people are interested, we can do it again!

I am totally in for a Gabfest at the Turkey Run. I've been working frantically on the Suburban and hope to have it ready. The goal is to pull "Ol'Blue" over with the 'Burb! In any case, I will be there with "Ol'Blue"!

Hi Alvin, The dates are November 28 thru Dec 1. They changed to 4 days this fall after a poor turnout with 2 days in the spring.

I am interested. Work on 1941 1 Ton long bed pick up is complete and I have moved on to my 1946 Chevy Suburban. I will drive up in the 1 Ton since Burb won't be complete by then. Truck is 1941 1 Ton long bed with SB350, 700R4 and 3.73 rear end. Disc brakes upfront. Color is original "Fighting Lady Yellow" Everything else is stock.

I'm good for being there on Saturday and/or Sunday.

I'm checking if there is any club parking still available.

Who is interested?

I'm looking at Friday and Saturday.
May have to alter that to Sat/Sun. If we can't get club parking, I suggest we go to the same place we ended up at the spring run. I don't think they would care if we had an impromptu GAB.

I am still interested - either Sat or Sunday ... probably Sunday so hubby can go smile I also have gathered up some other Stovebolt owners over the past few months that I can invite ... I liked the area we had in the Spring ... can't believe how much attention our old beautiful trucks garnered smile

Hey guys --

Any consensus on which day and how we can meet up at the Turkey Run?

Not sure which day I will go.

I've been away from cruises and shows for about 3 months, I'm going both Sat and Sun. I think Sunday will be for the truck crowd.

Call my cell phone to find us at the track. I may not hear it the first time, so call again if I don't answer. Post your number too.

Sounds good to me. Are you talking about Sunday? Any time is OK.

Jo Ann is out of town, so I will have the dog with me. Not looking forward to keeping him still for the two hour drive. I may need to pull over before we get there.

My buddy Mickey with the '53 Ford panel may join us again.

Are we able to pay at the gate? How much are the tix?

I think Drew will make it with us on Sunday ...:)

I will check with the guy I just met with the 51 long bed in Sanford ...

Jeanie,
Tickets are $20 for Sunday only. If you go over on Saturday tickets are $50, good for both days.

8AM at the intersection of 46 and 415 Sunday morning.

I went on Saturday as a spectator. This had to be the largest Rod Run ever. The total infield was filled to capacity. Lots and lots of vendors in the swap meet area. The car corral was huge. There was everything you can imagine for sale.

I went back on Sunday with my '38 Chevy truck. LonnieC and Jeanie and I convoyed and parked together. The crowd was still big even though many vendors pulled out early Sunday.

There were over 4800 cars registered for the show and the Sunday 50/50 was over $1350.

Sorry I didn't take any pics.
