For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 | When I was first into cars in the late 40's and early 50's just about none had air conditionaing. There was an air deflector that went on the lower pointed end of the vent window and directed air down around the pedals and bottom of the steering column to counter heat coming in around them. I googled air deflector and all offered are for the out side to deflect away rain when the vent is open. Does anyone know if the downward deflectors are still offered? Thank you; Evan

When searching, be sure to include vent in the search. Never gave doing a search on ebay a thought after coming up short on google. REALLY helps to know what they were called. Thanks; Evan

In my case, with not too good of pedal and column seals, it helped a bunch.
