I am restoring (and modifiing) a '64 C10 and want to abandon the cigarette lighter next to the ignition. I would like to plug the choke hole also since I have installed a Holley 670 w/electric choke. I would possibly drill the choke hole out to match the lighter one if I can find the black plastic plugs. Does anyone have a line on these plugs?

Just recently I went to the Hardware section at Lowe's and seen several plugs that could be used. Some chrome button type and some blace push in type. If you have an ACE Hardware store they carry some as well....or at least here they do.
(I had to fill a hole I drilled in the wrong place!!)

I am hoping I'll find plugs that are the correct size to cover holes for hinge bolts in COE doors.

You might want to put a lighter socket back in one hole or the other and put a USB socket in that for charging a cel phone or laptop. I had to add a cigarette lighter to my '69 panel so I could plug in both my GPS, my Camera and my phone.

Thanks, Roadmarks. After I posted this, it crossed my mind to do this. I even started looking for one of those nifty black plastic flip open caps from a newer vehicle that says
"12 Volt"

When installing a carburetor, that doesn't require a choke pull cable, we keep the choke cable/knob, in place, but cut the cable and remove it. If you want a cigarette lighter, it occupies the far right hole in the 4-5-6 Chevy truck dash cluster. If you are not running a cigarette lighter/power source, in this location, there is a cigarette lighter delete plug, that was installed at the factory.
