Hi All, I'm not at all having any success with my brakes on my 1950 3100. It has HUCK brakes in front and reg drum in the rear from a 1969 C-10.I replaced a new master cylinder twice and it has all new wheel cylinders and brake shoes and new steel lines and I bled the MC and all the W C several times the correct way from RR to LF and I CANNOT get any pedal , Air bubbles SEEM not to be there , I used a clear hose and a glass bottle. I've never had this happen before, Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks, Bruce

The first thing is to make sure that all the shoes are adjusted up to spec. If they are not you will never get any pedal.

Do you have the proper valving since you have two different type of brakes? You may want to consider changing the Huck to match the rear so this isn't an issue.

Make shure the huck brakes are adjusted up properly. They are tricky to adjust.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

....you said you used a clear hose and a glass bottle. Did you put some brake fluid in the bottle so it would not suck air back into the system?..... I just had to ask!

Ditto to what George said to. My experience with huck or the later bendix is that no matter how good you adjust them, I've always had to go back and do it "one more time".

Good luck. Let us know what you find.... in case we have the same problem later.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
