Is it screwed in at the top?
Use sealer/adhesive?

They do not interfere with the window rolling up and down. So far, so good. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 1,901 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 1,901 | I did like Alvin. I even took the clips that were designed for it off. Then I studied the door frame and picked spots that were double walled and carefully drilled and tapped some 10/32 allen electronics component screws. tight and secure. Also there is a slot at the bottom the end slips into.
Give me ambiguity or give me something else

I will use the screws first and see how that goes. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | ....as CASO mentioned. Be sure the end of the channel is tucked in the clip at the bottom of the metal channel guide that is down in the door on the hinge side. If not it'll be flopping around when the window is up and may give trouble later on. Let us know how things go. | | | | | | Neverdone Unregistered | | Neverdone Unregistered | In searching for a way to re-install the door window glass I came across this thread and though I would add my 2 cents What I did was notch about 3/4 inch out of the side of the channel where it butts the wing frame , I will slide it in before I tightened it up . The wing holds it up and in . http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo203/OldoginMd/003_1.jpgNow , does anyone have the procedure for re-installing the window glass ? My guess is that I need to loosing up the wing assembly and move it forward some to get the glass in ?????? Also when installing a new glass track do you just center it up on the bottom ? Carl Carl , I looked in the shop manual before I asked this question what section is it ? I figured it needed to come out..... How about the placement of the bar on the bottom , I also figure that the window floats so it is not that critical is this so ? Thanks Dan

To have the big glass fit the opening when closed, you leave the screws slightly loose at the track at the bottom, then roll the window up, then tighten the screws. Carl
