Right now I show about 1/4 inch of shaft behind the arm and its about as tight as I can get it without installing the steering arm. Just thought I would make sure it's seated properly before installing the rest of the steering gear. Before re-installing the arm I thouroughly cleaned the shaft and treated it with a light coat of anti-seize. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | Sounds about right. There will be about 4-6 threads showing after the lock washer & nut are tightened down. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 42 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 42 | Thanks!
