Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 42 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 42 | Re-installing the Pitman Arm on a 51 Chevy 3100 and I am just wondering how far it should tighten onto to the splined shaft. Right now I show about 1/4 inch of shaft behind the arm and its about as tight as I can get it without installing the steering arm. Just thought I would make sure it's seated properly before installing the rest of the steering gear. Before re-installing the arm I thouroughly cleaned the shaft and treated it with a light coat of anti-seize. | | |
