Happy Birthday Dave! Hope you were running around on the firetruck with the lights flashing and the siren whaling.

Happy Birthday Dave!

I'm planning on coming over for Pick-A-Nick day, but not in my truck. I'm too cheap to pay for the ferry, my engine is thumping like a Disco (time for rod bearings again I think), and I'm cheap. I'm gunna come over on my bike, and tootle along the back roads. Any recommendations on a great route from Tsawwassen out to Bobbs place? I'd prefer not to just drone along on the Trans Canada if possible.

This is sorta weather dependant for moi, as I have no front fender on the bike.

Hey Britcon, I'm planning on meeting Mike at Tswassen and riding out with him. With that Road King running, I figure I'll need to keep one hand on a spark plug to see if my bike's still running! I'm not sure what our route will be, I'm just planning on following the sound of "potato-potato-potato-potato-potato.."

Dang, change of plans on the smokies. I don't know what's happening with the new owners, but the last 4 times I we have gone in there they haven't had smokies. Not even a hot dog this time!!!!! Victor, the original owner always had lots of stuff at A&K Sausages. I'm bringing mini backed potatoes.

Sorry Bruce, thought I had said already. I can't leave until 1:00 but Clay (Lode51) was leaving earlier, maybe he will join your convoy. I'll have to see you guys there.

Hey there... Had to check in to see what we had to bring and see it is still up in the air...
We were gonna bring a large fruit tray with dip... does that work for everyone?
We won't be convoying in because we have two dogs at home now and the more time we spend on the road the less time we can stay so we'll be going straight from Surrey to Chilly-wack and back and this time will be leaving the '55 (that hasn't been driven at all this year) at home too...
In other words, we'll just see everyone there... if the fruit platter doesn't work send me an email and let me know in case I don't get back here before Sunday ok Bobb?

Seeya there!

Hy Everyone, well from our perspective a wonderful pickanick, a little more heat would have been nice, but it didn't rain! It was soo nice to see everyone again, and to meet some new people too, thank you very much to everyone for coming out, we hope you all make it home safely. I hope I didn't bore anyone too much on my tour, I know I just ramble on and on, but I enjoy passing on what I know. Thanks again for coming, Bobb

Hey Bobb thanks again for hosting. We could have burned a few tires for heat. When I left the tour I found Gloria cocooned in the car to get out of the Chilly Wack wind. I was severely tempted to remove some big bolt running boards. If you want to get rid of some let me know.

Wish I could have made it today but I just didn't think the 58 was road tested enough for a trip to Chilliwack. I thought about bringing out the Mazda5 to check out the other machines. Glad to here a good time was had by all!

Is anyone going to the big swap meet in Abbotsford next week? I would love to meet some locals!

Thanks Bernie and Bobb for hosting the picnic, was great to see everyone and meet a couple of newbies. Yes it could have been warmer but yes it didn't rain. I'll be happy to finally get my glass back in the '54, it seemed colder on the way back than on the way to the Wack.
Sorry we had to leave early, we had to pickup my daughter from work at 4. Next year she will be driving herself.
My son Keaton got some really good pictures, I'll attempt to put them up here.
Thanks again, and we'll see everyone at verious shows throughtout the summer.
Ted58panel, I'll be going to Tradex on Saturday morning, maybe we can meet up?

Here are all the pics I took this spring, including Bobb's ...

http://s283.photobucket.com/user/hotshoe36/slideshow/Spring%202013

First are those. Further into the slideshow is a series of pics I took at a Saskatchewan truck farm. I believe all the units pictured - and others - are for sale, and at what some might think are reasonable prices. I can supply particulars for anyone interested ... Now I'm gonna go post this on the Greasy Spoon, see if it fits, or gets moved or something.

Hi all,
I'm finally in front of the old confuser for a minute here this morning.

I had an absolutely great time at the BBQ, and at Mike's place. Putting an extra zero behind engine displacement sure makes a big difference! I think Mike's bike melted my face on the way home. My mind was already blown from seeing Bobb's collection.

I sure enjoyed the tour Bobb, lots of neat stuff to look at. I wonder if that 503 would fit under my hood? Might have to move the radiator out a bit wink Hahahaha. Seeing all the big trucks was great, most of that sort of stuff, I've never seen anywhere else, there just don't seem to be many around. I'll have to come back so I can poke around more another time.

It was great to see everyone again. Thanks for the hospitality!

Hard to believe Keaton took and modified those pictures on an iPod. I thought the black and white was a neat touch.

Thanks for another great pickanick Bobb and Bernie. Again, I learned some more names and was given way more information I could retain from the tour (number 3). My newbie buddy Aaron was nervous coming as he just got his truck and is at the beginning of learning about his truck (even if he couldn't bring it this year. . Everyone made him feel welcome and he's excited to have his truck on the road now, more than ever.

Bobb, I have info on that 51 gm of Aaron's but you PM box is full. If you can PM me your email, I'll send it your way.

Paul, if you have that truck cover still, let me know. ( I don't know your user name or I'd send you a PM

Thanks again to everyone for another great get together at Bobb's.

Clay, PM me at Super 55. I still have the cover. It makes my butt look big when I put it on my 2 ton.
