fenders are in black pearl.

it took me forever to get the cab lights in the right spot. There was a hole in the back of the cab so I just put an old backup light I had where the hole was.

Jay, where did you find your cab lights? I have them on my '36 and I've not seen another set?

Looking great! Beautiful paint job! I am looking forward to getting some paint on mine. But its gonna be a while, lots of work first.
I assume since thats a 2010 color, its base coat-clear coat?
My son has a body shop and only works on late model cars. He uses this system, but I am not familar with it. I was spraying Acrilic Enamel when doing the old muscle cars and then when I started doing farm tractors, went to using Synthetic Enamel.
I may just get the son to spray mine, he is hooked up with Dupont and they installed his own mixing system for him.

assembly almost complete
https://plus.google.com/u/1/photos/.../5872849867326518833/5876573596077827778

if you look closely, the fenders are hanging up in the background (black ones).

only thing left to do is put in the back window, fix a brake hose leak ( I suck as making flares), putting in the door glass, and hooking up the dash electrical.

I pulled off the front hubs, no grease in the bearings, and 3 black widow spiders living in them. boy those brake shoes are small for such a large truck!

i got the cab lights on ebay, the are arrow lights.
in california, prior to 1969 you can have green lights in the center. So I put them in.
the front yellow lights are from rodtiques. 2 filament lights, both driving and turn signals.

after I get her going, I need to look at the rear end. seems to be a little play and its weeping fluid. im a gonna need to call in the cavalry for that one

the paint is ppg base/clear, its 2010 mazda pearl red and pearl black.
lucky's speed shop in freemont ca did the metal work, english wheel on the fenders, and lots of spooning on the cab. very very little bondo, lots of block sanding with filler primer.
so it was:
baked all parts, then blasted off the ash
etching primer
filler primer
epoxy sealing primer
base coat
clear coat.

since I painted it in my barn, I have my share of nats and other small bugs in the paint. but hey, its a truck.
