Length of old motor body is 3.5 in., the new motor body is 4.0in EDIT: ended up being the wrong one, after two trips to NAPA, the part number for the 5/16 inch shaft 655-1020, and the number for the 1/4 inch shaft 655-1022, finally got the right one (1/4in) and it comes with a sleeve to fit 5/16 so it can be used for both.

In my recirculating heater with a 12-volt replacement I had to modify it a bit. As long as you get squirrel cage clearance and have the correct stick out into the firewall you should be ok?
