Gary Fantasky New Guy G Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 31 Denver Colorado	Does anyone know of an adapter to use a 1951 216 oil bath air cleaner on a 1957 235 engine. It looks like I can remove the air cleaner lid mounting stud from the 216 oil filter housing and go straight up from the 235 carb center stud. The problems is that the 216 filter mounting flange is to small to fit on the 235 carb. In looks like the inside diameters of each are the same.

Gary Fantasky New Guy G Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 31 Denver Colorado	I have the carb that matches the air cleaner but it is not the correct carb for the 1957 235 engine. The 1957 235 car engine did not come with a air cleaner. The 1957 235 car engine had a funky looking low profile side canister oil bath air cleaner for hood clearance.
