It looks like I can remove the air cleaner lid mounting stud from the 216 oil filter housing and go straight up from the 235 carb center stud. The problems is that the 216 filter mounting flange is to small to fit on the 235 carb. The 1957 235 car engine did not come with a air cleaner.
