Is there a ID plate on the driver side door jam? May help although that along with an engine could have been changed. Also, look for cab differences between 47-50 and 51 when changes were made,ie, quarter door windows.

Is the serial number still on the door post?

Can you post pics?

There are other clues such as vent windows, drivers side cowl, how the cab is mounted.

Can you provide more info?

number stamped into plate 14jp-f 14531 on door jam.door handles are pull down not push button.no side vents just slots that look like gills and( chevrolet)on the side of the hood. the carb has a small air cleaner that has no oil bath.there is a vent you push up from inside the cab below the windshield. it is not a three window only one. was a216 changed to a 235 .

The f does not compute but 14 jp is a Baltimore built 1951. By the way, the automated VIN busters in tech tips no longer work?

THANK YOU MR ALLEN, Baltimore built. Did not know they had a factory there. I always said it was 52 but they had bush button door handles. Again thank you.

b10, just curious..........do your doors have vent windows or not?? If they do that would also help confirm your truck is a 1951 model.
