I am new to this site and old Chevy trucks. I just bought an solid unrestored 1950 3100 that runs and drives. Just found this site while searching for answers to some questions I have.

Doug, Welcome to the Stovebolt. Like so many of us ahead of you I believe you can find answers to all your questions right here. The best site on the web for old Chevy iron.

Sounds as though you have found what so many look for.... a RUNNING and DRIVING project, or at least I never found one I could afford!!!
Post your questions in the most appropiate forum for the best results and answers. Good luck. We're here for you.

..only a couple more things. We all love pictures when you can post some, there are many bolters in Ia. and some may be closer than you think, and lastly, plan on attending the Annual Stovebolt Reunion in Kansas City,Mo. around the first weekend in September. Whew, that was three things smile

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Congrats on finding an un-restored A.D.,still in drivable condition!! I know some members within a 40- mile radius, but they're "Big-Bolters",(like me). But,I'm sure they're are a lot of "Bolters" in our area, that I haven't met yet. Please keep us posted! Thank-you!!

Welcome Doug. With out this site, many of us wouldn't have a chance to get our old trucks on the road again. Be sure to ask if you need answers.

Welcome Doug. Agree with all the Bolter posters before me! I'm from a lil town in Iowa called Madrid. Yes, post some pics and ask any questions you have. Someone, if not a bunch, will chime in to help! Enjoy!
