For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 76 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 76 | I am re- torquing my head bolts - no problem there. But there are six bolts in the head - on the right side of the engine (facing the engine) that go into the head on an angle. What are they and what should they be torqued to?
Thanks-

The holes are used for air injection for emission control. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Air injector reactor system air manifold assembly goes there! Wrench bender and Drew-P you're a couple of smarties!!! I guess I better not torque them to 95 pounds! Thanks! Reread the manual and make sure its not less at the four corners. I have a block here with the corner broke from being to tight.

Joe Yes. The specks generally show 85 lbs. on the left front bolt. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. I would run a monojet on any of them for best mileage & Adjustability. The model B works good though. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though.
