After painting, is it easier to install the front inner fenders attached to the fenders or can they be installed from underneath after the fenders are on? The size and clumzyness of the 2 together seems like a lot at once.

Install the inner fenders first, than bolt on fenders.

What year are we talking about? On my '51, the inners bolt to the firewall and the radiator support. Then I can slip the outter fenders on.

That's what I was thinking. Did that on my '50/'51 combo.

Don't forget to pick up some of those pointy body bolts when you reassemble. When you are trying to line up holes on the inner fenders, outer fenders and radiator support they help keep the swearing to a minimum.

Baba (or, anyone else who knows),

What is the name of that style of bolt? I need them for COE floor panels. They are nice for lining up panels.

Great Discussion and Information, Guys! I'm glad 1965t5 asked his Question, because I'm getting ready to mount the fenders, radiator, grill, etc on the Blue Funk!

I mounted my inners first as well. My advice leave everything loose until you get all bolts in. It looks sometimes like it will never all work (especially if you are putting in a repop grill), but it does.
