My own 1958 Fleetside tail gate is rusted but not requiring too much straightening, just a lot of removing of the rust pits. I am trying to decide if replacing it is the best way to proceed? However, if I was looking for one today I'd buy one from Mar-K. They have a name for excellent quality and its made here in the USA. They contribute to stovebolt page and you can find them in the "bed forum".
at the price of sandblasting and body work these days you will probably be better off buying one unless you can do all the work yourself. Unfortunately they do not make one like the original for my truck. Theirs does not require the chains. Which is what I am looking for. Any thoughts for other vendors?
