For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 44 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 44 | Hello, I just started dismantling my 216 out of my 1950 3/4 ton I did have the engine running before I pulled it and compression was good in all cylinders ( I can't find the numbers but they were all within limits. All the cylinders look great except for #4 the wrist pin was loose and scored both sides of the cylinder I'm not sure how deep they are . I believe the original size pistons are installed the only marks on the top are the letter T and the piston position number.
What is the Max overbore I can go? Can you sleeve these engines Any suggestions on measuring the damage to see how deep the grooves are
Thank John

Not a problem at all to clean up a scored wall on most engines unless it's really bad. Stock pistons were offered up to .040. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 44 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 44 | No I'm not sure if the engine is the original The engine code is HAA364772. Hopefully I can get a inside micrometer and see how deep the grooves are but they are pretty deep.
