It all started with a '50 three window that I just had to have. That one is currently under construction in my garage with (oops!)a SBC and an automatic, but I have since seen the light! About a year ago I rescued a '52 five window from behind an old barn. It was an older restoration and with a little clean up has become an excellent daily driver. It has it's original 216, three speed, six volt and bias ply's! My latest addition is a '52 Suburban which I am anxiously awaiting it's arrival from Michigan. Plans for it are a 235 with a T5 conversion. Currently searching for a couple of parts for it, but mostly information. My 1950 3100 project that i have been dinking with for the last 6 or so years took a huge step forward today when the cab was reunited with the frame! Pictures are in my photobucket. I am pretty stoked. This truck has been neglected for a while as I've had other things that took priority. Also picked up some newer front tires to replace my shop roller "maypops"! I hope to get the steering column fabbed up and installed this week and then its time to take it all apart and send it to the blasters for a little cleanup. I will post pictures but it looks pretty much the same as the last ones! Buying a vehicle sight unseen was a huge leap of faith for me but I get a real kick out of undoing other peoples fixes.In this instance there a lot of "other people's fixes" to fix. So far, I have installed a new fuel pump and fabricated new lines, fixed miscellaneous wiring issues and scrubbed on it's dirt.
