What other challenges are there as far a mounting when placing a 51 rear under a 37 truck?
Thanks for the help!

I think you need to check the master parts book (can be found online) to double check, but I think the TT will need to be shortened. The other issue can be spline count on the input shaft versus the transmission. That can be easily overcome by using 2 u-joints and making them into one with two differnet spline counts on a given end.
To further help, is this truck short or long bed? What is your transmission?

I have not been able to locate a 49 to 54 powergluide car rear. It seems like the next logical step is to find one to upgrade.
I am between upgrading the rear and doing a T5 swap. That would however significantly change my otherwise stock truck.
It seems many have done the rear upgrade only to later change to a T5. Any experience on this would be appreciated.
