On our 55.2 3600 truck, there was a PTO on the side of the 4 speed top loader trans. I assume the PTO was installed by the fire company that owned it before me, to operate the water pump in the bed.
Anyhow, I do not need the PTO and wanted extra room under the body and also wanted to clean up the driveline area a little bit. I have the PTO off the trans and I neeed a block off plate. I was gonna make one out of flat stock, this would work eh? I would use gasket paper to seal it along with some good silicone gasket sealant. Is there anything else I need to do before I close the access hole up? I am gonna post the PTO for sale in Parts For Sale.
