Anyone have any tips?
Were these put in before the dash was welded in? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | OOOoo, I had a time with mine but its been a while so I don't remember much...and my cab was totally stripped/bare. I think the end that fastens to the firewall has to be loose and push up on it to gain enough room to manuvere it around. I also think the bolts that hold it to the firewall were a booger to get out as well.....not exactly what you want to hear but its as I remember it. Maybe one else can help. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 467 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 467 | thanks Alvin.
It looks to me like it was put in before the dash was welded in. I don't see any way to get it out unless it is bent. There is not enough play in any position to get the bolts pulled through the firewall. It is a bare cab as well. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 4,261 "Hey! I sound like Darth Vader!! | | "Hey! If I remember correctly, it comes out of the gauge hole.

The brace was broken so I finally just cut off the studs at the firewall and pulled it out.
It will be fun putting a replacement in. | | |
