Hello All My name is mike and I am coming back to fooling with cars after a long lay off. I recently got back a 54 1.5t I bought and sold 12 years ago and was getting myself all pumped up and ready to working on it when I came accross this fine forum. So Just wanted to say hi and look forward to gleaning and sharing as I build my truck.

Mike

LOL, she would just want to sell it.

Here are a few recent photos. I am doing a budget build and as I said it has been 15 years since I built anything. I was mainly into 54 chevy cars but always wanted to build a truck. I cane accross this one when I had a job that took all over the back roads of Kentucky. It was a very solid farm truck with 23k miles on it. I had just moved into a neighborhood that had a home assoc. and they gave me grief over having it in the drive so I sold it to a buddy. He took it all apart, unframed it and let it sit outside for 10 years. Fro all that it is still a fairly solid cab. I swung the cab up on its back so I could get to the floor. I am not young anymore and the back is not as strong either so made a "bubba" hoist to help swing it up. lol
Anyway I am getting the floor cleaned, making up patch panels and wire brushing prior to using some POR-15. Will post photos as I go along.
