Some of you might appreciate this. The magazine reports they tested the various oils for break out torque on rusted nuts. No info on whether thats inch pounds or foot pounds of torque.
Oil Average Load
None 516 pounds
WD-40 238 pounds
PB Blaster 214 pounds
Liquid Wrench 127 pounds
Kano-Kroil 106 pounds
ATF/Acetone mix 53 pounds
The home brew 50/50 acetone and automatic transmission fluid mix was better than any commercial product in this one particular test. They report also that 50/50 ATF and lacquer thinner is equally as good.
Note also that Liquid Wrench is almost as good as Kroil for about 20% of the price.

He always used straight Coca Cola in an oil can. Seem to work good for him.
PS: Good advice on the Acetone and Laq...

Its been beat to death but always nice to see "updates" so thanks for posting it,Weeds. I like the Kroil and never buy it unless its on sale. I have a pretty good stash bought at buy one get one....and sometimes shipping is free. Currently I have a sale paper from them for just that...buy one get one. I left without seeing if it was the BIG can, or free shipping, but plan to when I get back home in a day or so. My nephew and i both like it.
