I gotta share this,a Mac 204 is a brush that women use to put on eye lash stuff it's about 5inchs long and has stiff tappered brushes on one end.I've been using them for gun cleaning, cleans out firing pin holes in bolts,it also has many uses in cleaning carbs. They also make a smaller one that works on thoes smaller chanels and holes in carbs.I'm rebuilding my Zenith carb that will go on my 53 GMC 228 and they do a great job.Lucky for me my Daughter works for Mac and I don't have to and steal them from the Wife. She just rolls her eyes when I tell her that should market them for gun and carb cleaning.

you guys quack me up smile

Man, it didn't come from Harbor Freight but I love my Drill Doctor. Man, I didn't know I had so many bits in the "dull" drawer. I've already paid for the doctor!

I've wondered about those drill doctors. I have a fair number of dull bits as well. Are they worth the money and will they work with most bits?

Fredd0 - they work on all bits up to the max size of the model you get - and they are an excellent addition to your shop if you do much drilling

..mine sharpens up to 1/2 inch....and you can buy a small attachement to hold and sharpen 3/4" bits for about 40 bucks. You can also sharpen, or make, split bits to.

Its an easy tool to use but I must admit, after "playing" with it a couple days I am much better at sharping a bit and knowing what I'm looking for and trying to do. You know, the "chisel" the angle, standard or split bit ect. Heck, I know more now about drill bits than I ever thought I'd need. It all makes sense to me..... Now smile AND it's a good idea to watch the few minutes video that comes with it!!

...and finally, I think, MY bits that I sharpen cut better than some of the "assembly line" bits.

Thanks for you tip,Pete.
