It's a frame-butchering procedure the lowriders do.

This is how I ended up with a 3rd row original seat for my suburban. The guy slammed his suburban to the ground and had to rework the area under the 3rd row seat and could no longer use it.You might want to check into the low rider sites and ask how they do it,they are a wealth of knowledge and parts.

Every second issue of Classic Trucks and Custom Classic Trucks has an article on this. The frame for the Burb should be very similar to the half ton and the only difference is that there is a floor to deal with.

I did NOW THANKS LOL and for what its worth im A LOWRIDER at heart(hope i dont lose points with some of you LOL ) but fan of all things on wheels i dont want to 4 link or bag the back of my suburban but want to get it real low with leafs and blocks if needed in the back with some good air shocks atleast and still keep my 3rd row seat thats why i dont want the more filmilar made notches for the AD trucks because you have to cut into the bed on truck passenger area on suburbans but do want a notch so im not slamming the axle into the frame. But thanks for the link to the notch

a c-notch would only be needed if you go to low. i would think the center section of the axle will hit the floor before your axle tubes would. if your going to run it that low a pipe cut in a semicircle would probably work. just make sure you box in around the pipe and not go more than half way into the frame rail. you can see this procedure in most mustang ii setups. good luck mo

You're not going to lose any points with me,I say slammmmm it.I like the original, hot rodded, and low rider. They all look good when done right, don't worry about what people think.

The guy I bought my 3rd row seat from bagged his suspension and had to cut out the plywood area under the seat.It really looks good and he had a professional shop do it.I"ll look for some pictures of it on the web and send you a link.

Thanks for saving another Suburban from going to the shredder !!!
