Can you hook up that giant sunlamp on the top of your shed ? Did you realize that is the Village Classic car show in Chilliwack ?

We were also supposed to go to a neighbourhood party 2 houses from here the day before (on the 23rd) and don't even know if we'll be able to make it there yet so for now it's wait and see... If I don't get the operation Berni's Nanaimo bars will likely kill me if I show up so I *have* to get it... Hopefully I'll be able to make it but will have to let you know... otherwise I hope everyone has a great time! | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy britcon and guys, no Bruce I didn't realise that was Village classic day, so I guess we are looking for another date. Dave when are you back from headquarters??? | | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 | Hi Bobb.....I wasn't overly concerned about the Car Show conflict. We will likely go to the show if the picnic timing doesn't work out for everyone. Didn't know if you guys wanted to attend again this year. We are pretty flexible on dates this summer - whatever works for everyone else works for us. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 843 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 843 | Chilliwack show or 3B BBQ works for us | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 460 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 460 | Hey Alvin, is that enough time for you to book a flight out so we can eat those things together? Great idea, Bobb... Alvin is getting an operation Tuesday and I am getting one Wednesday... we could have a recovery area at the BBQ for those of us who need it with extra treats to make us feel better! | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 863 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 863 | 3B-I'll be back on the 29th....

I looked at the weather history from 1974 to 2011. There is only a 34% chance of rain that day. I don't think there could be any left by July 8 at the rate we are getting it these days. I'm too cheap to drive on the ferry, and I don't think there's anyway I'll have a motorbike running by then (cheaper on the ferry). | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 139 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 139 | forget about it Christopher, it would take a day just to get out to Bobb's. From the Tsawwassen ferry terminal driving it would take @2hr at least to get out there. From Paul's place its another hours drive. bring your pass port. the collection of trucks at 3b's is worth the trip not to mention the food and fellow stovebolters. did you sell the cj?
we can make it on the 8th Bobb
cheers,
Mike

I seemed to be missing a gallbladder at the end of it all but at least that's behind me... I am told it is impossible to find replacement parts for a 1960 Trev so I'll just have to do without one... On the upside I have been told I am not allowed to lift more than 20 lbs for the next 6 weeks and that I am absolutely positively NOT allowed to cut the lawn so it looks like Celine just became my new gardener! Hopefully I'll feel a bit better within a week or two and can start getting out there in the '55 and doing things... hope to make it to the BBQ too... | | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 305 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 305 | Good to hear it went well. I went for multiple stab wounds instead of the 7" single slash... pretty amazing, 4 hours after I was under the knife I actually walked out of the hospital and went shopping before coming home... Admittedly there were some damned good drugs involved but still... I even stopped taking Tylenol 3's the following day and haven't had a painkiller since... not bad! | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 460 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 460 | Yaaaaa...if you got a nice scar you can tell people you got knifed in a bar fight.....or something cool like that *g* I can still say that... in a knife fight one wound wouldn't be too realistic... In my case I look like I was attacked with drawer full of ginsu knives and lived to tell about it! Still gonna be a couple days before I can shower or take the bandages off, but I'm beginning to feel a lot better now so hopefully I'll be doing great again within a couple weeks and no worse for wear... | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 863 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 863 | Trev....The Human PinCushion.... | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 460 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 460 | I wish they had just been pins, Davey... I don't think you can get a body panel, most of them are off shore repros, but I am sure there is a dissident ready to donate.
