does anyone know where i can find a set of dual rear rims for a 1937 1.5 ton rig ?

I actually have the inside rims, but the outside were lost at some point.

Are these interchangeable with later model duals as far as size and lug pattern ? if so what years ?

thanks
Tommy

Tommy, welcome to the Stovebolt.

Not sure about the wheels but if you will ask that question in the Big Bolt forum, or maybe even the Driveline Forum I think you may find your answer quicker.....how about some pictures.

the bolt pattern was used thru 54 I think the wheels got wider as years advance. you also have to check the center hole where it slides over hub as 2 sizes are available with same bolt pattern. your truck likely would have come with 600/650/or 700X20 tires originally may have been upgraded to 750 or 825X20 tires at some point. the wheels would have either a solid lock ring or split 3 piece lock ring wheels. The RH5 Split wheels would have come later but may have been retrofitted so check carefully.

I can't see any of your pictures but can point to you to a tech tip that I bet has your answer in it.

these are the rear wheels (inside duals). the outside duals have been stolen or lost, so i need options on replacements. IF these are the safe wheels, I will try to search and find identical replacements. If they arent the safe ones, I already have a line on some 22's from a 1959 1.5ton, and on some 19.5's off a P30....

someone let me know what my best options are please

37 pic 1 appears to be a solid lock ring wheel. It will have indents on lock ring along inner edge. You may not be able to see them until you deflate tire. Once you locate the indent with tire deflated you use a tire iron inserted into indent to pry lock ring out of wheel slot. On 37pic 2 I couldn't get a clear image to tell if it has a lock ring you should be able to compare it to the front wheel.

I followed these guys instructions for my '38 1 1/2 ton dump, and it went exactly as they said!
Just be careful inflating them, a few pounds, I checked the ring, bounced them, a few more pounds...one started to move, so I deflated, and put back in place.

Just got my truck home an hour ago!

sounds like they will be kept.... IF i can get Coker or someone to put new tires on for me, and IF i can find some replacement rims.

Does ANYone have a line on a pair of duals (outside) for the 37 1.5 ton chevy ?
