Has anybody used the kit from Painless? There's nearly $200 difference. I've been bit more than several times by the "get what you pay for" bug, and don't want to invest a lot of time in a cheapo harness. Has anybody installed both harnesses, and can say one is better than the other? Does EZ-Wire label each wire like Painless does? Is there any quality difference between the two? Does anybody prefer the mini fuse over the regular fues kit? Thanks for any input! | | |

The quality is excellent, was very easy, just tedious, to install... Any harness is tedious... All wires are clearly marked throughout its length...
I'd say the Painless harness was worthwhile, even though expensive, since tech responses were very fast and helpful...
Everything worked and I have pre-labeled circuits if I chose to add options...
Summit Racing had the best prices when I bought mine... hope this helps...

#85210 10/10/2004 8:23 PM | Joined: May 2003 Posts: 1,271 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2003 Posts: 1,271 | The guy who turned me on to EZ-Wire had installed numerous Painless kits and a couple of EZ-Wire kits ... he told me they were the same except with EZ-Wire you have to buy your own ground wires (I just bought a roll of black wire -- see my link below). EZ-Wire kit labels each wire every 6-inches or so; same quality as painless. I wired my truck a year and a half ago ... no problems; easy install. See Here
