Hello all. So today the weather cleared up, the snow is gone, so I rescued my truck from under the collasped structure. After a good cleaning and inspection it's not too bad. Lot's of scratches and NO major dents. There is two small dents in the drip line, that's it. Attached are a couple of pictures of my truck and some scratches. In one picture it looks like the paint is starting to bubble. I think it's about time I park the truck in the shop and start a resto......

It looks like you get off lucky there. It is a constant battle to protect our treasures(trucks) from thiefs, weather, salt, roadkill(deer), and crazy drivers.

Based on the collapse description you posted awhile ago, I'd say you lucked out. And thankfully so. Are you planning to rebuild your storage structure?

The guys are right. You do have a beautiful truck and it takes alot of work to keep them looking nice. I am hoping to find a guy who is willing to paint only the body work spots on my truck until I have the money for a full paint job.

Thanks all. Drew, I'm going to start building this summer, but only stronger. For the rafters I'm going to use 2 x 8's and position them closer than 16" on center. 6 x 6 post buried in concrete for support. If 3 or 4 feet of wet snow is going to be normal at my location I have to beef if up a bit......I did get very lucky, the only explination I can come up with is that the roof started to bow down slowly then gave way. My truck barely fit under the roof anyway, it was an attachment to the barn. This time everything is going to be big......

Didn't realise you got that much snow there. I always thought of Mich. as a snow state till this year.

Wow that's fortunate! Glad the truck is ok...mine already has scratches and dings like that just from everyday use, ha ha...I should probably start restoring mine too.

Definitely had the gods of luck looking down on you. Glad the work is minimal.
