The casting number on the block is either 3535911 or 3835911, I was wondering if someone could decode that number. Seems Like the 3835911 is the correct one.

Second, what are the sizes of the freeze out plugs on the side and on the front. The sides are in place, but the front is missing, and every size I got at the parts store is either to big or to small. If someone can help with the size and then point me in a direction where I can get them I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks as always!

Mike

List from Inliner's site says 3835911 is 53-55 235.

Freeze plugs for your truck should be in this parts catalog or perhaps a vendor could save you some time looking.

Mike,

I have a 54 engine on the engine stand so I measured for you. Under the exhaust is 1 5/8 inch and the front and rear are 2 inch. That is also what was stamped in the plugs so my measuring was pretty good. Remember, mine is a 54 but it was easy to get to. Any other measurements you need before it goes back between the fenders (probably another year).

Thanks guys.

I will check the sizes from JJ.

I talked to Jim Carter, LMC and Chevy Duty with no luck, and checked Golden State and Bowtie Bits Catalog.
