Well guys and gals. Its only about 6 weeks till the FIFTH annual Southern Stovbolt Reunion at my house here in Boiling Springs Saturday April 28th.

I'd like this thread to be where I can see all those that are coming. Please sign up if you think your going to make it. We understand there may be some that can...or can't, as time gets close and life's events get in the way. I will edit this post as you sign up so that we can see all in one place who is coming. For those that plan an overnight stay there is several nice motels where you get off I-85 at exit 75. Anyone arriving earlier than 9am better have some biscuits with them......seriously, come when you can but preferably 10am..... and I'll plan to start cooking burgers and dogs about noon.
I'll have the burgers/dogs/drinks and condiments. You can bring one of your favorite dishes to be spread with the others. Deserts welcomed. When my yard fills up there is a nice lot straight across the street with plenty of room.

Here we go:
Alvin and Victoria Boiling Springs, S.C.
Kurt, Donna & Erin Raleigh, N.C.
Jay & Ruth Columbia, S.C.
Dave and Pam Taylors, S.C.
Floyd & Tony Morristown, Tenn.
Chris/Carolann & Nick/Craig Greer,S.C.
Warner Ettenger Gilbert, S.C.
Robert Kellam Beautancus, N.C.
Shakey73, and Aiden Asheville, N.C.
Lee & Ronnie Flores Gree,S.C.
Dave Norris Holly Springs, N.C.
James & Christi (Austin,Hudson,Katie)
Charles Edwards Boiling Springs,S.C.
Hank & Wilson Long(?) Boiling Springs,S.C.
Mark Boehm Michigan
R-Bo and son Aaron Charlotte, N.C.
nezabe Tenn.
David Gunn Greer,S.C
Cory "csmontana" Taylors, S.C.
Chris "Hut" 3adult 2child Cross Anchor, S.C.
Harold & Billie N.E. Ga.
Clyde & Lesie Abbeville, S.C.
George & Sandra B.Springs area, S.C.
Pete Cole Greensboro, N.C.

Total 47 ...and maybe some later drop in's.

Hey All,

Nick and I will deffinatly be there, possibly Craig. Gonna try and talk Carolann in to coming as well. Can't wait.
Been away from the Bolt for awhile. Doing a major remodel of the house. If I get around these trucks too much my ADD kicks in and I forget about the house.

See yall soon.

I am planning on it. My son Aaron and I are hoping to ride down in his 66 GMC V6. The 59 is still "under construction"...

Thanks for putting this together.

Alvin,

Wish we could be there but we are still stuck here in sunny So. California.

One of these days we'll get our place in Laurens going and we'll be sure to make it.

I will be there on Saturday Alvin. Ginger is not up and running.I have the bed tore slap out of her, and I'm going to England with the wife tomorrow. She has a business trip and I can tag along real cheap. I may never get the chance again. I wanted to have my new bed installed before this even, well I'm only one guy. I will either be on an Indian motorcycle, or my HHR SS.

The countdown is on. FIVE more days until the 28th. Old trucks, hamburgers and hot dogs, and probably some Apple Pie. The recipe for a good time. If you ain't coming you can read about it next week smile

Weather report is looking good after raining for the past week and the temps should be mid 70's.

Alvin,

Looking forward to meeting everyone on Saturday. I have a couple days off from work planned and my son Aaron and I may work a bit on his GMC before the reunion!! (I have parts for a Holley carburetor conversion ordered that may get here in time to put on.)
We have a backroads route planned to avoid I-85, will bring you money for the T-shirts you got for us, and also will bring some chips and dip or something to go with the burgers and Pepsi.

But my 59 will be in pieces in the garage. :-( One day...

Looking forward to it! Thanks for putting this on for everyone.

P.S. Let me know if you need us to bring anything or help out in any way.

Hello Alvin!

I have been away from the Stovebolt scene for awhile, only checking the website sporadically. Between work and just now finishing almost 3 years of school, my 66 project lies dormant.

Last night, at work, I stumbled on your reunion.

WHOO-HOO!!!!

I will most assuredly be there. I will be driving from Blacksburg, SC. I travel by 9 Hwy. every day on my way to school.

I know it is late, but is there anything I can bring?

Thanks!

Seth K. Pyle

Alvin and gang,

I'm so disappointed that I cannot make it to the reunion today. My fuel lift pump on my Dodge Cummins engine quit working late last night. I tried my best to get it repaired, but unfortunately my midnight effort wasn't enough. Looks like my entire Saturday will be working to get my only transportation back on the road.

I was so looking forward to attending. I've done nothing but talk about this trip for two weeks.

Alvin, I will mail you money for the t-shirt. Please let me know how much you need for s/h.

I wish you all a great reunion!

Hi all.

I had a fantastic time at the reunion. Made so many new friends. Just wish I had the memory of Alvin for names. Thanks Alvin and Victoria for being such fantastic hosts.

For your enjoyment, I have uploaded a few of the pictures I took to my server. Find the link below. It will take me a while to put the right names to the pictures, and I will need some help. Then I will upload them to the bolt bucket.

There will be many more fine pictures.

Anyway, here is the link:

Alvin,

It was a great day and great event. Thanks to you and your lovely wife Victoria. Thank you for the hospitality and for having "virtual friends" invited to your home.

Aaron and I enjoyed it and it was exciting to see another GMC big-block V6 there at the event. Our late-night carburetor switch Friday night was just the thing to have his old 66 purring along the entire way.

Hopefully one day I will show up with my 59 "Apache" on the road again.

Thank you so much, I know you had many long hours involved in planning and conducting the event, and I appreciate your unselfishness and sharing with the old GM truck community.

Regie
