I've known about this site for a few years, a friend of mine who has a 1950 Chevy coupe told me about it after I picked up my 1952 Cadillac Couple. I never got around to signing up but now I'm in the market for a 48-53 Chevy COE and this site seemed to be a good source of information, although hardcore COE information seems to be slim out there on the web.
I'll probably do more lurking than posting until I actually find a truck, but nevertheless here I am, glad to be here.

Leo Hi Leo, thanks, I did already make a run through the classifieds to see if someone was selling or looking for the same thing as I am. No such luck at the moment, but I'm not really in a rush. It's just going to be one of those back burner projects but I'm going to keep my eyes peeled in case the right deal comes along.

Ive found 2 trucks about 2 hours from me in the 1700-2500 range, but i havent heard from either seller yet.
as for the small buck option above, its a GMC so not really what im looking for.

I guess the hunt is a big part of the whole thing too, I spend a few hours each night checking obscure old truck and parts sites, I have craigslist alerts on my phone, eBay sending me emails if one pops up, etc etc,. I just found one tonight in the midwest and I happen to have a friend who lives 17 mins away from the address its posted at. I just need to see if I can get it stored somewhere because I wouldnt be able to drive out to get it until April at the earliest and I dont know what it would cost to ship a non-running big bolt 1200 miles... so I emailed him and Im waiting
