My 62 had a steel bed and I had to cut a hole in it for the differental to go thru when the truck was drppped the max thru the notched frame. Ibuilt the new floor out of the truck making it 2 inched higher to fix the diff. hole. I then just slid it in and bolted it down with 4 bolts. If I want to refinish it I will just take it back out. No one has noticed the bead being a little higher. It looks perfect if I do say so
