Was told its a 51 gmc looking to get some info on vin 101 22 c 677b the b may be a 6. I have not got the motor# yet looks to be a early 235? Came with extra hood and front fender. I will post more pics and #s to tomorrow. It always happens when one truck (my 49 3100)is out to paint and there is room in the garage it gets filled.

is that a moon roof been cut in? So is this the first SIX window cab on stovebolt?

101 = 1/2 ton short bed
22 = 228 engine
C = Oakland, CA
6776 = 6776-1000 = 5776th truck off the line

Thanks for the info, yes the moon roof one of the hot custom mods done to it over the years. I am not wanting another major project truck so i will see if it will run and it may be in the swap meet area soon

I got the motor # LAA 536942 looks to be missing the fan, 2 plug wires, and dizzy. rotor and alot of white slime on dip stick.

LAA is a 53 standard stick-shift car 235. Look for the oil distributor thingy on the drivers side as this one-year only motor had the new 18-bolt head design but still had dippers, troughs and nozzles for oiling the babbited rods. smile
