Hey all. Finally got some pics of the new ride up. Hope ya'll like it. Now I'm getting motivated, time to drag my other 54 with HydraMatic out of the corner of the barn and start work. Ol' Blue '54 3100 Deluxe

Nice truck! Is the diamond plate in the bed steel or aluminum? How thick?

Nice looking truck. I'm kinda partial to the '54-'55 1st series trucks. In my opinion they are the best looking because of the grill and one piece windshield as they set themselves apart from the '47-'53 trucks the commoners all own (just kidding I like them all).

Very nice, 54hydramaticFL

Good luck with you Hydra-Matic - let us know how that project progresses. There are at least a hand-full or two of 54 Hydra-Matic owners here.

That't probably the cleanest looking interior I've ever seen on a 'bolt. Not too much, not too little, just right. The body colored dash and the work on the door panels are a nice touch.

Congrats on your new '54. It's a great looking truck with all the right options.

Question: Are the white "Chevrolet" letters on the dash painted or are they decals?

Lonnie, letters are painted on the dash. Guy must have had one steady hand! Your truck looks great. I've always liked the green.

Thanks for the compliment and for the info on the Chevrolet logo on your dash. Yes - he must have had a steady hand! I want to get vinyl letters cut for my dash, but have gotten sidetracked for a while.
